We are a family who after obtaining a recommendation from a reliable stone yard and after checking many references unfortunately hired the wrong man. In the middle of our project we were left with unfinished poorly constructed work. Joe Genova understood the difficult situation we were left with when he graciously fit us into his very busy schedule. He gave us an honest account of the problems which needed either correcting or redoing. Our newly placed pavestone driveway was structurally weak. An incorrect grid material was used for the foundation of our driveway and walkway. Upon closer examination of our newly, partially constructed entry stairs we were sadly made aware of continuing structural problems. Joe, understanding our financial situation at the present time, was able to evaluate which areas had to be redone and which areas he would try to correct or fix. The driveway, being the largest and most costly of our blunders, was an area we chose to redo at a later date. Joe used a sandblaster to remove as much of the loose sand that was used and replaced it with Palmeric Sand, a stronger sand that will better hold the stones in place. He carefully removed stones that were damaged and replaced them. The entryway stairs were rebuilt along with the walking path using the correct foundation grid. Joe was able to rebuild the steps and also create to beautiful plant boxes that hug the entryway. The Celtic wall material which was used to create this look is a very challenging material to work with. It requires precision cutting and Joe was able to create the curves needed to complete the job. Joe worked side by side with his crew everyday cutting the stones and placing them correctly. He was at the job site at all times and many times required his workers to redo areas that he believed were not perfect. His diligence, knowledge and dedication were the only reason for the success of our difficult project.
Joe is a perfectionist who will work his very best to get the job done. I would recommend him. He is friendly, honest, qualified and responsible-all of which I believe are important in the selection of a contractor. Joe, we can't thank you enough for the dedicated work you gave throughout our project. Good luck in your future jobs.

I have been meaning to send you pictures of the fabulous work your crew did here at our home on our fireplace this fall.
We have gotten so many compliments on the quality and appearance of the fireplace. All of our neighbors and friends are in awe of what a great focal point we now have in our living room: an eighteen feet high fireplace whereas before we had just a simple mantle at eye level. What a great improvement! The project was worth every penny!
It is without hesitation that we would recommend you to anyone looking for an honest, thorough and quality hardscape contractor. We so appreciate you coming to the rescue when the "other" contractor failed to make good on his estimate and our down payment. You really were there for us to make this project happen and alleviate the major stress I was under from dealing with the other, less than ethical company!
